Prices for some products decreased in supermarkets in Tashkent in June

    In June 2025, experts from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (IMRI) conducted another monitoring of food prices for 21 positions in the largest supermarket chains in Tashkent.

    The monitoring results showed that the minimum prices for 9 items decreased compared to the previous month*.

    Thus, the decrease in prices for white cabbage amounted to 64.2%, tomatoes – 44.7%, cucumbers – 36.5%, beets – 21.5%, bananas – 13.0%, apples – 8.4%, rice – 7.3%, beef (fillet) – 6.3%, potatoes – 6.0%.

    Minimum prices have increased for 6 positions. The largest increase in prices was noted for lemons, which is due to the seasonal factor.

    The minimum prices for 6 items remained unchanged. These are wheat flour, buckwheat, pasta, eggs, margarine, sunflower oil.
