    Almost 100 houses destroyed in Tajikistan after earthquake

    Almost 100 residential buildings in two districts of Tajikistan were destroyed and several dozen more buildings were damaged as a result of the earthquake that occurred in the country on April 13, killing one child.

    According to the Report, this was reported to TASS at the Crisis Management Center of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic.

    The report notes that, according to preliminary data, 40 residential buildings in five villages of the Rasht district were completely destroyed, 5 residential buildings, 3 teahouses and 1 auxiliary school building were partially destroyed. In addition, a three-year-old child trapped by a house wall died in the village of Ushturpast. His death was previously reported in the Emergency Department.

    "According to preliminary information, 54 residential buildings in the Tajikabad district were completely destroyed, 45 houses were partially damaged, 61 residential buildings and 2 buildings of a secondary educational institution were slightly damaged, 196 auxiliary structures were completely damaged, 3 tea houses and 1 medical facility were partially damaged," the ministry added.
