According to information, rescuers retrieved the bodies of 13 people from the rubble of the building, and released at least 84.
According to Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamilla, there are still people in the basement of the destroyed building. He noted that they were provided with oxygen and water.
"They are in stable condition and we believe they will be rescued alive," he added.
The causes of the accident are unknown, however, according to eyewitnesses, it was caused by work to expand the underground floors of the building.
