The Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Countries was established in 2023 on the basis of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry. To date, the first meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Countries has been held. This Union of Chambers is an international platform created with the aim of developing relations and cooperation between the countries of the Turkic world. To date, five countries are members of the Council - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Hungary and Turkmenistan have observer status.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev delivered a welcoming speech at the event, during which he noted the importance of deepening interstate relations in all spheres of the economy, including trade, transport, energy, agriculture, industry, as well as Uzbekistan's readiness to continue contributing to the further development and strengthening of cooperation between member countries and observers of the Organization of Turkic States.
The event was also attended by President of the Turkic Investment Fund Bagdad Amreyev, Deputy Secretary General of OTG Omer Kochaman, Chairman of the Presidium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov, President of the National Confederation of Organizations of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mamed Musayev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev, First Vice-President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Ali Korpuz, Murat Karimsakov, Adviser to the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", and Kemal Veliyev, Head of the Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The participants thanked the leadership of Uzbekistan on behalf of entrepreneurs of the Turkic world for the favorable investment conditions created in the country in recent years for doing business.
The speakers also noted that as a result of consistent reforms in the New Uzbekistan, wide opportunities for rapid business development have been created, the investment attractiveness of the country has sharply increased, the number of enterprises with foreign capital has almost quadrupled.
Reports of the members of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the further development of trade, economic and business relations, strengthening of bilateral and multilateral partnership in the fields of trade, industry and entrepreneurship were heard at the meeting. The main directions of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry were discussed.
It was noted that the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry is an effective platform that promotes the expansion of multilateral cooperation between member states, including trade, investment, transport, energy, tourism, cultural and humanitarian exchange.
Within the framework of the event, meetings of the business circles of the Turkic states in the "B2B" format were also held, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.
