The document is aimed at further developing cooperation between the business circles of the two countries, strengthening trade and economic ties and expanding investment partnership.
Negotiations on cooperation began in March this year during the visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to China Farkhod Arziev to the General Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong. Subsequently, the dialogue was continued during a number of meetings and negotiations. An additional impetus to cooperation was given by the visit of the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan to Hong Kong in May.
According to the signed memorandum, the Uzbekistan-Hong Kong Business Council will be established. It will become an important platform for regular dialogue between entrepreneurs of the two countries, the formation of new business ties, the promotion of joint projects, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the field of trade and investment.
In the future, the parties plan to intensify practical cooperation through the organization of business forums, B2B meetings, experience exchange events and trade missions.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan notes that this agreement will open up new business opportunities for the two countries, will help increase mutual trade and strengthen investment cooperation.
