The meeting of the working group was chaired by Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekistan Temir Yullari" H. Khasilov. At the meeting, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan I. Makhkamov made an introductory speech. Also, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. A. Elmi, took part in it.
From the perspective of partnership development, expansion of existing opportunities, promising projects and new horizons of cooperation, modernization of the logistics infrastructure of the parties, acceleration of the passage of goods from Chinese Kashgar to the Hairaton station in Afghanistan were discussed.
It should be noted that the Afghan side fully supported the decisions of the Working Group. In their addresses to the participants of the meeting, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Elmi and the acting head of the Afghan Railway Administration A. Sharofat expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for all-round support.
Following the meeting, a quadrilateral protocol was signed.
