A solemn meeting of participants of the XIX Summer Asian Games took place in Tashkent

Yesterday, on October 9, after the completion of participation in the XIX Asian Summer Games in Hangzhou-2022, a delegation of Uzbek athletes returned from China. The solemn ceremony of welcoming our athletes took place at the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

The national team of Uzbekistan completed its participation in the Asian Games, showing the best result in history in terms of the number and quality of medals, winning 71 medals - 22 gold, 18 silver and 31 bronze.

In the team competition, Uzbek athletes entered the top 5 best teams among 45 participating countries, along with China, Japan, South Korea and India.

Officials, artists, athletes, coaches, relatives and friends of the team members took part in the solemn ceremony of the team meeting at the Tashkent airport.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov congratulated the athletes on their victory and read out a congratulatory speech on behalf of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The guests of the ceremony were also the khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov, Senator Mahmud Toir, People's Artists Farrukh Zakirov and Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
