The Week of Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan starts in Tashkent

    From October 18 to 27 this year, Tashkent will host the Week of Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan "The phenomenon of the Eastern Renaissance: state, religion, personality and civilization".

    This is reported by the press service of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan (WOSCU).

    Conferences, seminars, forums, exhibitions and presentations will be held during the Week. Over 100 foreign scientists and experts are expected to participate.

    The main purpose of the Cultural Heritage Week in Tashkent is to strengthen international dialogue and mutual exchange of knowledge, approve new joint projects with foreign partners aimed at preserving, studying and popularizing the country's cultural heritage in accordance with the reforms initiated in the New Uzbekistan by President of the Republic Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

    From October 18 to 28, exhibitions will be held within the framework of the week, which residents of Tashkent and guests of the capital will be able to visit. Expositions dedicated to the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan will be presented at the Temurid State Museum of History, the Abu Rayhan Beruni Institute of Oriental Studies, the Alisher Navoi National Library and the Tashkent branch of the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan.

    Thematic forums will be held with the participation of representatives of the scientific world and officials. Every day of the Cultural Heritage Week will be dedicated to a particular historical epoch, starting from pre-Islamic times.

    An important part of the Week will be the presentation of the megaproject "Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan". The participants of the event will visit the building of the Center, where presentations of joint scientific projects with foreign partners will be held. Trial thematic exhibitions and expositions will be opened in the museum halls of the Center.

    In general, the Cultural Heritage Week is a logical continuation of the work started within the framework of the VIII Congress in Samarkand, where a number of major projects were approved. Now the stage of their detailed development begins.
