At the initiative of the Tashkent city Khokimiyat and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, special trade fairs have been organized in the capital's markets in order to create amenities for the population and ensure access to food at affordable prices.

According to the city administration, in recent days, reports have appeared on social networks about cases of goods being sold at prices different from those stated, which caused discontent among the townspeople. In this regard, additional measures are being taken to ensure transparency and price control, as well as to prevent their artificial overestimation.

In particular, the installation of video surveillance cameras began on the shelves of fairs. To date, such cameras have already been installed at the Mirabad Dehkan market and the Eski Juva market (Chorsu).

Work continues, and in the near future, video surveillance will be introduced in all major markets of the capital, where there are food fairs at affordable prices.
