According to the Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic Timur Suleymanov, the competition is organized in cities with the status of the Youth Capital of the OIC. Before that, it took place in Dhaka, Doha, All, Shiraz, Istanbul.
The competition received over 70 applications from 25 countries of Eurasia and Africa. 30 foreign participants and 20 from the subjects of Russia were selected. Among the participants there are such countries as: Burkina Faso, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, Great Britain, Uganda, Algeria, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Palestine, Yemen, Bahrain, Chad, Niger and others.
A cultural program has been organized for the participants of the competition - excursions around Kazan, the Bulgarian Museum-Reserve and visits to Muslim institutions.
According to the press service of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, according to the results of the competition, the three best reciters of the Koran among men and women will be determined. The winners will be awarded the prize of the President of Tatarstan, and the winner of a special prize from the Association of Muslim Entrepreneurs of Russia will be determined.
