The range of tourist services will be actively expanded in Uzbekistan

    Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-87 "On measures to enhance the role and importance of tourism in the economy by dramatically increasing the flow of tourists and accelerating the expansion of tourist services in 2025-2026" was adopted.

    According to the Decree, the main targets of the tourism sector until the end of 2025 are the following, in particular:

    organizing trips to the regions of the republic for 15.8 million foreign tourists, increasing the export of tourist services to 4 billion US dollars;

    Due to the development of domestic tourism, 40 million local tourists travel to the regions, and additional 378 tour operators operate.

    Starting from June 1, 2025, citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman will be granted a visa-free regime for a period of 30 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    From 2025, regional tourism development programs for the next year will be developed annually until November 30.

    Since 2025, the International Tourism Week will be held annually on the 3rd week of November.

    Starting in June 2025, for the implementation of the "Travel to Uzbekistan!" program, Saturday and Sunday of the second week of each month will be defined as "Travel Day with family and team."

    The winners of sports competitions held among young people at the national level will additionally be awarded a Trip to Uzbekistan.

    Until January 1, 2027, entrepreneurs will receive a one-time subsidy for facilities consisting of at least 10 modules in the following amounts to cover part of the costs of building and equipping modular hotels:

    · for each place in a modular hotel of the first category - 10 million soums;

    · for each place in a modular hotel of the II category - 7 million soums;

    · for each place in a modular hotel of the III category - 5 million soums.

    By January 1, 2028, part of the costs of professional development of medical tourism clusters in the tourist area will be reimbursed.

    Until January 1, 2030, medical tourism cluster services will be promoted at international tourism and medical fairs and exhibitions.

    Starting from June 1, 2025, all state electronic systems and platforms in the field of tourism will be developed within the framework of a Single national tourism Platform.

    A Silk Road Tourism thematic office will be established in Samarkand by the end of 2025.
