The borders of three regions will change in Uzbekistan

    At the regular session of the Tashkent regional Kengash of People's Deputies, it was announced that the borders of the Tashkent, Syrdarya and Namangan regions of Uzbekistan would be changed.

    The press service of the regional administration said that the draft, presented at the kengash session by the Tashkent Regional Department of the Cadaster Agency, proposes territorial changes "in order to align the borders between the regions."

    Thus, it is proposed to transfer five sections of the Syrdarya region under the jurisdiction of the Tashkent region, including part of the Syrdarya, Saykhunabad, Gulistan, Bayaut districts and the city of Shirin (total 310.4 hectares), as well as part of the Papal district of Namangan region (38.8 hectares).

    In turn, six sections of the territory of the Tashkent region, including from Chinaz, Kuyichirchik, Akkurgan, Bukin, Bekabad districts and the city of Bekabad, are planned to be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Syrdarya region, which will amount to 347.2 hectares of land. And part of the territory of the Akhangaran district of the Tash region will be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Namangan region (26.3 hectares).

    Thus, a total of 349.2 hectares of Syrdarya and Namangan regions will be annexed to the Tashkent region, and 373.5 hectares of land will be transferred to these regions.

    It is reported that the deputies supported and approved the draft decision.
