The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On further measures to increase the fertility of agricultural acreage and create favorable conditions for attracting investment in the industry" (No. UP-18 dated 02/03/2025) was adopted.

According to the Decree, a new system for allocating agricultural land will be created as an experiment, based on the independence of tenants and the cultivation of crops with high added value.

Under the new system:

· The land plots will be put up for electronic online auctions "E-auksion" in sizes from 3 hectares to 50 hectares, without violating the integrity of the contours and irrigation system.;

· All individuals and legal entities (residents), including enterprises with foreign investments, can participate in electronic online auctions, regardless of their place of residence, organizational and legal form, and whether or not they have another land plot.

Under the new system, the winner of the electronic online auction, the tenant, along with the rights and obligations established by the Land Code, acquires the following rights to:

· use of a land plot on the basis of a lease right for 49 years;

· independent determination of types, varieties and volumes of agricultural crops;

· the transfer of a land plot to sublease;

· placement of agricultural service facilities on an area along the edges of fields not exceeding 20 acres.
