The event is aimed at ensuring the enforcement of the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Atmospheric Air Protection" and "On Environmental Control", as well as monitoring the environmental condition of operated vehicles. The month will be held in two stages.
The first stage will be held from April 10 to May 10, the second stage - from August 10 to September 10 (in Tashkent from September 10 to October 10).
As part of the Clean Air Month, vehicles will be regularly checked at traffic police posts, during mandatory technical inspections, as well as on the roads. Measures will be taken in accordance with articles 87 and 125 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan with respect to drivers whose vehicles are found to be environmentally defective. Also, according to article 13 of the Law "On Atmospheric Air Protection", the use of vehicles will be prohibited until the malfunction is eliminated.
The Ministry of Ecology asks drivers not to use vehicles that have malfunctions and cause excessive damage to the atmosphere.
