According to the relevant decision of the Turkish Halal Accreditation Agency (HAA), the Uzbek Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center (UzTest) state institution under the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Certification is recognized as the first body in Uzbekistan accredited to certify products according to Halal standards.

Information about this has been published on the official website of the Turkish Halal Accreditation Agency.

The Halal certification Body has been accredited in accordance with the international standard OIC/SMIIC 2:2019 - "Conformity Assessment: requirements for Halal certification bodies". This opens a new stage for organizations in Uzbekistan working in the field of Halal standards.

Currently, the global demand for Halal standards and certification is constantly growing. In particular, when exporting products, an appropriate certificate is required for each product category, among which the Halal certificate plays a key role. This certificate helps to eliminate technical barriers when exporting goods to foreign countries, especially to the member States of the Institute of Standards and Metrology of Islamic Countries (SMIIC).

According to international experts, the Halal sector is one of the fastest growing areas of the global economy. Currently, the Halal food and beverage market is about $2 trillion, and the Halal tourism market is about $400 billion.

This result is an important step in the process of Uzbekistan's integration into the system of international standards and will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the country's products on world markets.
