Admission to correspondence studies is stopped in universities of Uzbekistan

    The Presidential Decree "On additional measures to ensure the quality of education and improve the system of providing educational services" (PF-76 dated 05.05.2025) was adopted.

    According to the Decree, from the 2025/2026 academic year, admission to correspondence studies will cease, while the admission quotas for alternative forms of study, except full-time, will gradually increase.

    Also, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year:

    in higher educational institutions, it is not allowed to exceed the total admission quota for alternative forms of study of 50 percent of the admission results for full-time education;

    The master's degree program allows the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in alternative forms of education.;

    In higher educational institutions, it is allowed to organize training in an optimized full-time education based on a credit-modular system.;

    Admission of students in alternative forms of study in excess of the established norm is regarded as a gross violation of licensing requirements and conditions and is the basis for revocation of the license.

    Also, departments of internal quality control of education are created in the structure of each educational organization, responsible for the implementation of internal audit of the quality of education.
