It was noted that the World Bank supports the innovation policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan by financing this project. The project is aimed at modernizing the national innovation system, increasing the competitiveness of national goods and services on the world market, the efficiency of economic diversification, and improving the standard of living of the population.

The main goal of the program is to reveal the essence of innovative opportunities to program participants, to provide free practical assistance in the formation of international skills in the formation of projects, commercialization of scientific results and developments.

The MUNIS project includes three key components. Component 1 supports the improvement of the quality and relevance of R&D, as well as the modernization of research institutes through special competitive financing programs.

Component 2 promotes sustainable innovation and collaboration between industry and science by providing co-financing for innovation, a local supplier development program, and selective improvement of national quality infrastructure. Component 3 funds technical assistance to support the development, implementation and integration of pilot mechanisms into the core set of public policy instruments.
