At the meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again congratulated Khorezm dehkans and farmers, all hard-working people on the Agricultural Workers Day, which is celebrated today.

“This is our second trip to Khorezm this year. The goal is to meet face-to-face, discuss current issues in the region, talk about what other opportunities are available, what support is needed, and what results are expected. It is impossible to develop the economy with high-sounding words. If we understand problems as they are, then the solutions will be correct and fair”, the President said.

The Head of the state noted that a new system for solving social problems based on the principle “Mahalla Chairman – Reformer” will be introduced.

“President’s visit once a year will not yield results. Every hokim, head of economic complex should systematically work on the region’s problems. No one will come from the outside and do it. Just yesterday I spoke with hokims of cities and districts of Khorezm. No matter how much money they asked for, I gave them. Not because we have a lot of money, but because they were able to put the question correctly. People should not be indifferent either. Local councils and mahallas should demand”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The state of socio-economic development of the region was critically reviewed. Tasks for the development of agriculture, production and services, job creation, poverty reduction and improvement of social conditions in mahallas were defined.
