Prior to this appointment, Mr. Buriev served as a member of the Committee on Anti-Corruption and Judicial-Legal Issues of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

He is a graduate of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Higher School of Strategic Analysis and Forecasting.

The appointment was made in accordance with Decree No. PD-260 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
