The Japanese coach has started working in the Uzbekistan women's national football team

    Midori Honda became the head coach of the Uzbekistan women's national football team. The Football Association of Uzbekistan and a Japanese specialist signed a contract until the end of 2023.

    According to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Midori Honda, born in 1964 in Shizuoka, Japan, competed for the Japanese women's national team from 1981 to 1991, is a bronze medalist at the Asian Games.

    She started her coaching career at the Okayama Club in 2001, worked as an assistant coach in the Japan U-20 women's national team. Then the representatives of the Land of the Rising Sun took 3rd place at the World Championship. As a coach, she managed the clubs "Nagano Parseyro" from 2013 to 2019 and "Sidzuoka SSU Asredjina" from 2020 to 2021, UZA reports.

    Another Japanese specialist, Takaya Tsutsumi, will start working as a goalkeeper coach for the Uzbekistan women's national team.
