About 1300 young athletes from more than 20 countries participated in the tournament. It is noteworthy that for the first time in the history of these competitions, female athletes also took part, according to the Dune news agency.

Uzbekistan was represented at the international tournament by a nine-person delegation. It included Kamol Usmonov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Sumo Federation, Dilmurod Kurbonov, Deputy Chairman of the federation, Khusniddin Khusanov, head coach, as well as six young athletes - Shahin Umaraliev, Komolbek Yoldoshev, Khojiakbar Turgunov, Mukhriddin Kholboyev, Barkamol Abdulkhakimov and Ziyodakhon Kurbanova.

During the competition, Uzbek athletes held duels with strong opponents in their age categories. In particular, talented young athlete Husniddin Husanov, who recently started practicing sumo, performed well in intense fights with representatives of Mongolia, Israel, Estonia and Japan, winning a bronze medal at a prestigious international tournament.

This tournament has become an important platform for improving the competitive experience and skills of young athletes, and has also made a significant contribution to strengthening the international sports authority of Uzbekistan.
