In his
message published on his official page, Infantino emphasized that Uzbek
football players proved to the whole world and the people of their country that
any great dream can come true.
"You
proved to the whole world and to the people in your country that any big dream
can come true," the FIFA head wrote.
He noted
that he personally watched the Uzbekistan national team's first-ever goal in
the World Cup at the stadium and felt the emotions experienced by the players
and fans at that moment.
"I am
sure that this historic experience will give a great boost to the further
development of football in Uzbekistan. I wish you luck in the future,"
Gianni Infantino said.
