The building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan may be included in the list of cultural heritage sites

    The Agency for Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan has developed a draft resolution that provides for amendments and additions to the National Register of Immovable Objects of Tangible Cultural Heritage.

    According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers building on Mustakillik Street in Tashkent is proposed to be included in this list.

    About 130 more objects are planned to be added to the list, including mosques, museums and residential buildings.

    The list may include buildings on Shota Rustaveli and Beshyagach streets in Tashkent, the building of the Scientific Research Institute of Art History and the complex of buildings of the Pavel Benkov Republican Specialized Art School.

    The relevant project is aimed at protecting, preserving and state control over the use of tangible cultural heritage, which is the national heritage of the people of Uzbekistan. The discussion will last until May 23.
