At the same time, restrictions are imposed on vessels associated with the United States, Israel and their military allies. This is reported by Reuters.

According to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, vessels that do not participate in aggression against the country or support antagonistic actions will be able to pass through the strait, subject to compliance with appropriate safety regulations and coordination with Iranian authorities.

However, Iran has assured that no ships or resources owned or associated with the United States and Israel will be granted safe passage. This decision is allegedly justified by measures to prevent the use of the Strait for hostile purposes, the media reports.

It is worth noting that the region has already experienced significant consequences from the increased tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran. The conflict has led to significant disruptions in global energy supplies, as approximately 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas is transported through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has informed 15 members of the UN Security Council, as well as 176 member countries of the International Maritime Organization, about its decision.

The United States has submitted to Iran a 15-point proposal aimed at resolving the conflict. Pakistan became the mediator in the transfer of this plan, reports korrespondent.net

Earlier it was reported that at the end of this week, representatives of the United States and Iran may meet in the capital of Pakistan. This was reported by Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing an Israeli official.
