As part of
the humanitarian aid, 20 tons of certified cotton seeds resistant to various
weather conditions, 20 tons of rice, as well as 500 kilograms of high-quality
selected seeds of vegetable and melon crops were sent to Afghanistan.
It is
expected that the assistance provided will contribute to strengthening food
security, increasing rural employment and introducing modern agricultural
technologies in Afghanistan.
Cooperation
between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in the agricultural sector is consistently
developing and serves to strengthen regional stability, expand economic ties
and good-neighborly relations between the two countries.
