The Presidential resolution “On measures to implement the project “Taking urgent measures to counter coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the Republic of Uzbekistan ”, with the participation of the Asian Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank” was adopted.

The Resolution approved the Target Indicators of the project "Taking urgent measures to counter the coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the Republic of Uzbekistan."

According to them, in particular:

7 institutions of the National Reference Laboratory will be established that meet international standards;
17 thousand 554 employees of the central office, territorial administrations, district (city) departments of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service will improve their qualifications;
Reconstruction, overhaul and equipping of 475 institutions of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service will be carried out;
The volume of tests will increase in relation to the current indicator for detecting COVID-19 infection, 500 thousand tests will be conducted;
To further strengthen the material and technical base of the ambulance service in the republic, by October 1, 2021, 1,000 units of special ambulance vehicles will be purchased.
