In the
"Solo Travel Index 2026," a total of 26 countries around the world
were analyzed, and Uzbekistan was included in the top five, being mentioned
alongside the world's most popular tourist countries—Italy, Japan, and
Portugal.
When compiling
the rating, experts considered booking trends, tourist impressions, the Global
Peace Index, ease of obtaining visas, food expenses, and biodiversity
indicators.
"Uzbekistan
is becoming one of the unique destinations of the Great Silk Road, which is seeing
growing interest among American tourists following the introduction of a 30-day
visa-free regime for US citizens. The country's rich history, unique nature,
and developed infrastructure for tourists make it an attractive destination for
adventure seekers," states the information from "Much Better
Adventures."
It also
specifically noted that tourists have the opportunity to hike from village to
village in the Nurata Mountains, passing through ancient paths, getting closely
acquainted with the life of the local population, and staying overnight in
traditional yurts, while a trip to Aydarkul through the Kyzylkum desert adds an
even more unique impression to the journey.

Registan in Samarkand, Bukhara, and other ancient cities demonstrate
Uzbekistan's rich history and great cultural heritage at the crossroads of the
Great Silk Road. Most importantly, Uzbekistan is in the spotlight
