The proposal suggests designating December 31, 2025, as well as January 2 and 3, 2026, as additional days off. Currently, these proposals have not been rejected.
Citizens are advised not to believe false information circulating on social media regarding the unproven cancellation of extra holidays, which may negatively affect the public mood.
A Presidential Decree on the designation of additional non-working days and the shifting of rest days for the New Year celebrations is expected to be announced soon.
