Uzbekistan has an additional weekend in 2023

    The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the Decree "On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and postponement of days off in 2023" of 23.12.2022. No. UP-270.

    The document sets the following (https://www.norma.uz/novoe_v_zakonodatelstve/kakie_dni_budut_vyhodnymi_v_2023_godu) additional days off for all employees:

    • January 2 - Monday;
    • June 30 - Friday.

    For employees with a six-day working week:

    • January 3 - Tuesday;
    • March 20 - Monday;
    • March 22 - Wednesday;
    • April 24 - Monday;
    • July 1 - Saturday;
    • September 2 - Saturday;
    • December 30 is Saturday.

    In 2023, the following days off will be postponed for workers with a five-day working week:

    • from January 7 (Saturday) to January 3 (Tuesday);
    • from March 11 (Saturday) to March 20 (Monday);
    • from March 25 (Saturday) to March 22 (Wednesday);
    • from April 29 (Saturday) to April 24 (Monday).
