The main goal of the project is to provide gas to gas filling stations in the areas of the Ferghana Valley, where pressure drops in the main gas pipelines are observed in winter. This will allow uninterrupted gas supply to vehicles serving social facilities, as well as passenger cars of the population.
To implement the project, contracts were signed with three of China's largest manufacturing companies - Himile Mechanical Manufacturing (Shandong) Co., Ltd., Luxi New Energy Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and Xinjiang Silk Road Golden Camel Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. The documents provide for the construction of a compressor station, the supply of 150 mobile high-pressure containers, a test stand, as well as the purchase of specialized vehicles.
The ceremony of handing over the first 30 special vehicles designed to transport mobile containers with compressed gas took place in the city of Kokand.
The compressor station under construction will compress up to 270 thousand cubic meters of natural gas per day - from a pressure of 10 kgf/cm2 to 250 kgf/cm2 - and load it into mobile containers. Due to this, vehicles serving social facilities and public cars will be partially provided with natural gas during the winter period.
A plot of land has been allocated for the construction of the compressor station in the Besharyk district of the Ferghana region, where construction work has already begun. Together with Uztransgaz, Uzenergoinspektion, Territorial Electric Networks and local khokimiyats, infrastructure solutions and a gas transportation scheme have been identified.
For reference: one container is designed for 6 thousand cubic meters of gas and is capable of handling an average of 300 passenger cars. The total capacity of the project will allow refueling up to 15,000 vehicles per day.
