Most industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan produce food products

In terms of types of economic activity, the largest share is made up of enterprises engaged in the production of food products - 11.9 thousand units.

The following are:

·        production of other non-metallic mineral products - 8,300 enterprises;

·        clothing production - 6 thousand enterprises;

·        production of finished metal products - 4.8 thousand enterprises;

·        furniture production - 4.1 thousand enterprises;

·        textile production - 3.7 thousand enterprises;

·        production of rubber and plastic products - 2.8 thousand enterprises.

These data reflect the current structure of the republic's industrial sector and key areas of its development.
