British business is interested in investing in the telecommunications sector of Uzbekistan

    A meeting with Biya Oloko, Director of the British company Stephen Simeon Limited, was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London.

    Stephen Simeon Consulting and technology company was founded in 2001. The company is located on the territory of the high-tech park "Thames Valley Park". There are more than 8000 technology companies operating in the park, from large ones to startups. The main areas of activity are telecommunications, IT solutions and business services, business transformation and corporate governance. The company conducts projects in Africa and Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom, according to the news agency "Dunyo".

    During the meeting, Biyi Oloko noted that in recent years he has visited Uzbekistan several times, where reforms in the telecommunications sector and the stability of the investment environment in the republic made him want to implement his projects in our country.

    According to him, Stephen Simeon Limited wants to create a new commercial system in the communications market through the privatization of mobile communication towers operating in our country owned by Uztelecom (up to 18 thousand), and is ready to invest $ 10 million.

    Following the talks, Biyi Oloko expressed his desire to participate in the Offshore Outsourcing Tour event, which will be held in Tashkent and Samarkand on March 18-20, as well as the Tashkent International Investment Forum on May 2.
