In Uzbekistan, CHS is attracted to adopt the best international practice in the administration of medical clinics, exchange experience and knowledge in the field of cardiac surgery, as well as to create a Center of Excellence for a planned multifunctional medical hospital in Tashkent.

During the visit, which will last until June 16, American specialists will conduct a number of trainings, presentations and lectures for domestic surgeons. The events will be held at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after V. Vakhidov.

In addition, the members of the delegation will be familiarized with the healthcare system of our country, as well as develop recommendations and a management program for the future medical clinic, which are being prepared for implementation within the framework of the UzDIF investment project.

It should be noted that the delegation from the USA was headed by Dr. Craig Smith, who is the head of the Department of Surgery at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, with many years of experience in the field of cardio-thoracic surgery, whose track record includes a complex operation on the heart of the former US president in 2004.
