In addition to our country, the meeting was attended by delegations from the Interior Ministries of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Russia, as well as the Director of the Bureau for the Coordination of Combating Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crimes in the CIS, the head of the Anti-Terrorism Center of the CIS member States and representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.
Within the framework of the approved agenda, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Commonwealth countries, as well as the implementation of interstate programs to combat crime.
Special attention was paid to improving the effectiveness of cooperation in the field of forensic expertise, expanding information exchange in the investigation of crimes related to information and communication technologies, training personnel in the field of road safety, as well as cooperation in the fight against illegal migration.
Following the meeting, the heads of delegations signed the adopted decisions and the minutes of the Council.
The event also included bilateral meetings between the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
During the talks, ways to further strengthen cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism, drug trafficking and crimes in the field of information technology were discussed. In addition, the prospects for cooperation in the field of personnel training and advanced training were considered.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The parties confirmed their willingness to develop contacts at the institutional level and implement joint projects focused on practical results.
