The event was organized by the General Secretariat of the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol within the framework of the iARMS V project with the support of the European Union.

The event was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies and national central bureaus of Interpol in Europe and Central Asia. Representatives of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Main Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs took part in the work from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the current threats associated with illicit trafficking in firearms, as well as mechanisms for international cooperation and coordination of joint activities.

As part of the regional training, experts from the Interpol General Secretariat conducted practical exercises on the use of the iARMS system, international tracing of weapons, investigation of crimes related to firearms, and the use of international forensic tools.

Following the event, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan exchanged practical experience with foreign partners and studied modern international approaches in the field of combating illicit trafficking in firearms.
