At the airport in Tbilisi, the competent authorities of Georgia handed over the wanted representatives of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As a result of the effective use of international Interpol channels, cross-border movements of the accused were identified, after which they were detained on the territory of Georgia.
Thanks to extensive joint work and established bilateral cooperation between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Tbilisi, during meetings and negotiations on international platforms, an agreement was reached on the transfer of wanted persons to the Uzbek side.
At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and based on the investigation materials, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia granted the extradition request. The accused were taken to Tashkent and handed over to law enforcement officers at the Islam Karimov International Airport for further criminal prosecution.
