Three Uzbek citizens who were on the international wanted list on charges of committing economic and property crimes were extradited from the United Arab Emirates through Interpol channels. The transfer of the offenders became possible thanks to the operational coordination and close cooperation of the staff of the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi.
It is noted that in recent years there has been an increase in the number of extraditations under existing international agreements. This is facilitated by the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, regular working meetings and negotiations between national central bureaus, as well as the implementation of comprehensive measures aimed at countering transnational crime.
The persons brought to Uzbekistan were wanted by the country's law enforcement agencies for committing crimes of an economic and property nature. They will be prosecuted and brought to trial in due course.
The NCB of Interpol of Uzbekistan continues to actively work to identify and detain fugitives from justice, as well as to expand international cooperation in the field of combating crime.
