According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, during the visit, a number of meetings and negotiations were held with leading Israeli companies working in the fields of agriculture. The delegation got acquainted with the latest achievements and innovative solutions in the agricultural field in the conditions of arid territories and limited water resources.

In particular, innovative methods of "intelligent irrigation" in the cultivation of agricultural products, the breeding of new varieties of crops, the development of special fertilizers was presented.

The possibilities of creating a joint pilot project in Uzbekistan for the cultivation of various types of crops were discussed.

The delegation held a meeting with the administration and teachers of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment named after Robert H. Smith Hebrew University in Jerusalem, one of the top 30 agricultural schools in the world. Agreements have been reached on mutually interesting thematic areas to form a contact base of researchers-specialists, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.

The Weizmann Institute, a leading higher education institution and a multidisciplinary research institute in Israel, hosted a round table of scientists with the participation of compatriots engaged in research work in Israel.
