The forum was attended by presidents of a number of states, heads of international organizations, companies, development banks, foundations and NGOs.
The forum was dedicated to the current trends in international relations. The participants in their speeches focused on such areas as climate change, the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing inequality, as well as new and long-lasting interstate conflicts with global consequences.
It should be noted that the Paris Peace Forum was launched in 2018 on the initiative of President Emmanuel Macron as a platform for high-level exchange of views between persons involved in global governance issues in order to identify specific solutions and responses to current challenges, the Doone news agency reports.
As part of the stay of the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoev in the French capital, meetings were also held in the Senate, the National Assembly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Louvre, the Institute of the Arab World, the ESSEX Business School and the Paris Pantheon Assas University.
