An agreement has been reached on cooperation between UNCTAD and technoparks of Uzbekistan to support startups

    On October 3, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) By Rebecca Greenspan.

    During the meeting, the existing cooperation between the parties and the prospects for its development were discussed. In particular, within the framework of the project "Science, Technology and Innovation Parks for sustainable Development" in 2023-2026, the exchange of experience between the technology parks of Uzbekistan and China, professional development of personnel and the organization of joint training programs were noted. A cooperation agreement was reached.

    At the same time, it was noted that on November 14-16 of this year, within the framework of the week of innovative ideas "InnoWeek.uz-2024", together with the National Office of Innovation and Technology Transfer of UNCTAD, it is planned to organize a training seminar.

    Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the development of further cooperation. In particular, an agreement was reached on deepening cooperation between UNCTAD and technoparks of Uzbekistan to support startups, improve staff skills and implement joint projects in the field of innovation.
