The EBRD plans to finance the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway

    A meeting was held with First Deputy Minister of Transport Maman bie M. Omarov and a delegation led by the Sustainable Infrastructure Group of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction, Director of Eurasian Infrastructure Ekaterina Miroshnik.

    It was noted at the meeting that the first stage of the project for the purchase of a new electric bus in the Samarkand region has been implemented, and at the second stage it is planned to deliver another 250 electric buses.

    The parties also exchanged views on the implementation of this project in the cities of Namangan and Nukus.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of cooperation within the framework of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project. Detailed information was provided on the work carried out within the framework of the project, as well as an exchange of views on the possibilities of financing this project by the EBRD.

    Within the framework of the areas of cooperation discussed at the meeting, the parties outlined tasks for the future.
