The meeting, which was held online, was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth.

During the meeting, the experts finalized and agreed on the draft Plan. It was decided to submit it in the prescribed manner for consideration by the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS.

Recall that the Strategy for the development of cooperation between the CIS member states in the field of physical culture and sports is designed for 2021-2030. For the effective implementation of the Strategy, appropriate three-year action plans are developed and adopted. Currently, the implementation of such a Plan for 2021-2023 is being completed.

The Strategy defines the goals, objectives, principles, directions and forms of cooperation of the Commonwealth countries in the field of physical culture and sports, aimed at deepening and expanding partnerships between national sports organizations, strengthening interstate cooperation.

The strategy reflects the industry specifics of the sphere of physical culture and sports related to the peculiarities of the development of the physical culture movement and sports of higher achievements, amateur and professional sports, youth, school and student sports, national sports, adaptive physical culture, Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic (Deaflympic) and special Olympic movements, as well as key aspects formation and functioning of sports infrastructure facilities, holding sports and mass sports events, training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of physical culture and sports, interaction with manufacturers and suppliers of sporting goods and services.
