President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is reviewing the progress of development efforts, living conditions, and the activities of industrial enterprises in the city of Tashkent.

This time, the route covered Shaykhantakhur and Chilanzar districts, connected by Bunyodkor Street. This major thoroughfare of the capital is home to prominent cultural and artistic institutions, various administrative buildings, residential complexes, supermarkets, and restaurants. Recently, a 1.5-kilometer section of the street has been transformed into a service and gastronomic tourism zone.

The Head of State, together with representatives of the public, inspected the facilities created along this section. Landscaping has been carried out along the road, with the installation of decorative design elements, fountains, and lighting. In short, conditions have been created for walking, dining, and meaningful leisure.

To this end, 90 business establishments have switched to round-the-clock operations, including 45 newly opened enterprises. As a result, 500 jobs have been created.

In the neighboring mahallas of Kamolon, Yangi Kamolon, and Kamolon Darvoza, approximately 18,000 people reside. The changes will primarily contribute to improving living conditions for these residents. Moreover, this area is currently visited by 255,000 tourists annually. With the new developments, conditions have been created to increase this figure to 1 million visitors per year.

In recent years, over 2,000 new entrepreneurs have launched their businesses in the tourism sector across the country. Last year, the number of foreign tourists exceeded 10 million for the first time. Tourism and service infrastructure in the regions is developing dynamically, with active support for tourist villages, guesthouses, and gastronomic streets.

Similar vibrant streets have already been established in Mirabad, Almazar, Chilanzar, Yakkasaray, and Yangihayot districts of the capital. Bunyodkor Street will become part of this expanding tourist network. Overall, plans are in place to transform 26 streets in Tashkent into round-the-clock zones and to increase the number of establishments operating 24/7 to 1,000.

A presentation of modern bus stops and parking areas was also held at the site.
