The Prosecutor General's Office announced new details of the criminal case related to the assassination attempt on Komil Allamjanov

    On November 25, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the detention of additional persons involved in the attempted murder of Komil Allamjanov, former head of the Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, which occurred on October 26 this year.

    "During the investigative and operational search activities carried out, it was established that a total of seven people were involved in the commission of this crime. A preventive measure in the form of detention was applied against five of them, and two were put on the wanted list," the Prosecutor General's Office said.

    Among the defendants is the accused Uzbek citizen Javlon Yunusov, who was detained in South Korea and extradited to his homeland.

    The location of the wanted accused K. S. was also established in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he was hiding, and investigative actions were carried out with his participation.

    We remind you that some officials of the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan, including the chairman of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan, were recently dismissed.
