The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul urged citizens to observe security measures after the terrorist attack in Ankara

    Uzbek citizens staying in Turkey were asked to increase vigilance and take precautions in public places after the terrorist attack in Ankara.

    The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul appealed to compatriots in connection with the terrorist attack that took place on October 23 in Ankara. The report notes that security measures have been strengthened in all regions of Turkey.

    The ministry called on Uzbekistanis to increase vigilance and take precautions in public places, especially at airports, railway and bus stations, marinas, metro and other types of public transport, as well as follow safety rules.

    Citizens intending to leave Turkey are advised to arrive at airports at least one hour before check-in and report suspicious objects and people to the staff of the nearest police or security offices (Özel güvenlik).

    Earlier, an orange danger level was declared at all airports in Turkey after the attack on Wednesday, October 23, on the headquarters of a large aviation and defense company Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI). A man and a woman drove up to the building in a taxi, one of them was driving. After getting out of the car, they opened fire on people with long-barreled weapons. Five people were killed, including a taxi driver, whose car was taken away before the attack, 12 security forces were injured, and the attackers were killed.
