An agreement has been reached between KNAUF and Texnopark on strategic cooperation in the production of low-carbon stone mineral wool in Tashkent.

As part of this agreement, KNAUF takes over production management and strives to increase production efficiency through the introduction of advanced technologies at the plant, reports IA "Dunyo".

The plant will operate on the basis of electric melting technology and produce energy-efficient materials with low carbon emissions (SO2). Launched at the end of 2022, the plant will produce modern energy-efficient insulation materials that meet the requirements of the sustainable construction market in Central Asia.

    - This agreement allows us to significantly expand the production of insulation materials in Central Asia. The rapidly developing construction market in Central Asia and the high demand for energy efficiency require innovative and energy efficient solutions from us. Using KNAUF's international experience, we strengthen our leadership in providing our customers with high-quality and convenient insulation solutions," said Alexander Knauf, General Partner of the KNAUF Group.

    - The process of reforms and rapid development in Uzbekistan improves the investment environment in the country, creates favorable conditions for sustainable development and improving the well-being of the population. This strengthens our trust in the region and shows our readiness to implement new investments in the future," said Uwe Knotzer, Chief Partner of the KNAUF Group.

According to Dominique Bossan, a member of the KNAUF Gruop management, General Director of KNAUF Insulation in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, this agreement will pave the way for the implementation of the company's long-term strategic goal of building promising buildings where energy efficiency, quality and environmental cleanliness are priorities.
