From March 15, 2022, the activities of checkpoints of the state border of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Republic of Uzbekistan will be transferred to the normal mode, and the control of infectious diseases will be carried out only on the basis of providing a certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 infection, without passing a virological check for coronavirus infection on the territory of Tajikistan.

A corresponding decision was made by the Republican Headquarters to strengthen anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of the infectious disease COVID-19 in the Republic of Tajikistan, reports NIAT "Khovar".

This decision was made taking into account the normalization of the epidemiological situation in the Republic of Tajikistan and with the aim of ensuring the full operation of economic areas in the country, enriching the country's economy, further strengthening economic and social ties with neighboring states.

According to the decision, the certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 issued by the health authorities and institutions of Uzbekistan, as well as other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States after vaccination is officially recognized.

"Upon admission of Tajik citizens to the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan and foreign citizens upon presentation of a certificate with the result of a "negative" virological check of the country of departure regarding COVID-19, which is valid for 72 hours, they are exempt from repeated checks at checkpoints across the state border of the Republic of Tajikistan," the decision says.

The mandatory regime of using protective masks to prevent and spread COVID-19 infection is being abolished among the population.

Also, on the basis of this decision, weddings and other national celebrations and ceremonies will be held in accordance with the current legislation.
