"The enemy sought to destroy Iran's air defense capabilities, and some of our air defense installations were damaged during this war. But thanks to the efforts of my comrades-in-arms, the damaged systems were replaced (with new ones) installed in pre-selected locations," the IRNA news agency quoted the commander as saying.

According to Mousavi, the area of operation of the new installations covers the entire territory of Iran, therefore, the country's airspace is under full protection of the republic's air defense.
