The event was attended by the Presidential Commissioner for Sports Odil Abdurakhmanov, heads of the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, representatives of the National Olympic Committee, the public and representatives of the media.
The officials who spoke at the ceremony congratulated the student-athletes on their worthy performance in the international arena and stressed that this result marked a new stage in the development of student sports in Uzbekistan. They were wished new achievements and further victories.
At the competitions held from July 16 to 27 in Germany, the delegation of Uzbekistan took the 13th place among 113 countries, winning 15 medals: 4 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze. This result was the best in the history of Uzbekistan's participation in the Universiade.
