On March 12, 49 Uzbek citizens traveled by bus from Doha to the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, and 12 more of our compatriots traveled to the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. According to the plan, they will fly to Tashkent through the international airports of these cities, the Dune news agency reports.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Doha is conducting operational coordination work with the relevant departments of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, working closely on the issue of safe and unhindered movement of our citizens across borders.
The diplomats escorted bus convoys to the Qatar border. The evacuated citizens expressed their sincere gratitude to the diplomatic missions and the Vatandoshlar Public Foundation for their practical assistance and organization of safe evacuation.
It is reported that the final evacuation of the remaining tourists in Qatar through the United Arab Emirates is scheduled for March 13-14.
